
Our story
Rooted in cherished family traditions, Petite Crumb Bakeship is a tribute to the love and legacy of my grandmothers. From helping my Abuela make tortillas on Saturday mornings to savoring my grandma Dixie's homemade bread on Thanksgiving, the kitchen has always been a place of warmth and connection. Today, I carry on their traditions with the tools they passed down to me, including my grandma Dixie's dutch oven and sourdough ceramic crock.
I've worked to hone in on the techniques and skill it takes to make sourdough, creating bread with a crusty exterior and moist, flavorful crumb that's perfect for sandwiches, toast, or enjoying on its own. Naming my sourdough starter after grandma Dixie is one way I honor her passion for fresh bread, and every loaf I bake is a celebration of my heritage.
I am deeply honored to share this delicious, fresh-made bread with my community. Knowing that my bread brings joy and nourishment to others is one of the most fulfilling aspects of what I do. Beyond baking, I find great joy in sharing my techniques and recipes, building connections through the simple yet profound act of making and breaking bread.
Our Ingredients
We use a blend of organic white and whole wheat flour and sea salt for our loaves. All of our cookies are made with high quality real butter and classic Nestle Tollhouse Chocolate Chips and Ghirardelli 60% Dark Chocolate.
